2004 SIDEWALK FILM ACTOR'S LAB
(Summer 2004), led by actor Jeff Ricketts
Sidewalk's first in a series of workshops designed to encourage and inspire independent filmmaking in Alabama was the Sidewalk Film Actor's Lab, led by film, stage and television actor, Jeff Ricketts. The lab was an intensive 8 week class in the summer of 2004, focusing on the fundamentals of acting for the camera, the exploration of an actor's natural essence, active thinking and listening on camera as well as the actor's "close up".
The Sidewalk Film Actor's Lab met on Monday evenings for 8 weeks. The cost for participation in this workshop is $400 ($360 for Sidewalk members).
Workshop attendance was limited, so as to encourage one-on-one time with Ricketts. Each actor also received an additional weekly coaching session outside of scheduled class time.
