What is the Scramble?

The Sidewalk Scramble is Sidewalk's weekend filmmaking competition. Fueled by caffeine and competition, teams are challenged to create a short film -- from concept to completion -- in under 48 hours.

Got questions about the Scramble? Call Natalie at 205.324.0888 or just drop her an email.

Visit The Scramble Connection on the all new SIDEWALKfilm Forum to talk the talk and walk the walk -- or just to look for folks to join your team...

Heidi Van Lier grew up primarily in Los Angeles with stints in Seattle and Chicago. Her father Norm Van Lier played for the Chicago Bulls in the 70's and is now a sportscaster in Chicago . Heidi's mother, Susan Van Lier, plays a part in her film MONDAY and was the financier for Heidi's first feature film, CHI GIRL, which ran at the inaugural Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival and can now be seen on IFC. Heidi's husband is composer Joe Kraemer, whom she forced to star in her current film. She also forced her daughter to star in last year's BABY LIFE. She hopes to have more children so she can force them to be in her films too…if not, maybe just more husbands.
