Another 10-day Scramble!
DETAILS FROM THE SUMMER 2008 SCRAMBLE
In honor of the TENTH anniversary of the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival, the Alabama Moving Image Association was proud to present Scramble X, the first ever 10-day Scramble! It wass by far the most outstanding Scramble we've ever produced.
Each team was required to include the following elements:
- CHARACTER: Serena ''The Ox'' Sarducci, a hairstylist
- ITEM: Mixed Cassette Tape
- DREAM SEQUENCE: Could also be represented as a flashback or flash-forward.
- CAMERA ANGLE: The one element that differed for each team. Angle options were: Low, High, Point-of-View, Dutch, and Bird's Eye View.
Some of the new things we added for our teams:
- We leveled the playing field: Scramble X only had ONE division.
- An esteemed group of local jurors will be able to offer more hands-on feedback after the screening.
- A winner-takes-all pot of $500 was given to the team that utilizes their 10-days wisely (see below for winners).
- We upgrading the trophies to give the winners the mantle piece they've always dreamed of!
- We threw in a free DVD of the films to go with each team's entry fee.
