The Alabama Moving Image Association was created to inspire, encourage and support films and filmmaking in Alabama. This year, we celebrate our 11th year of hosting the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival, which takes place September 25-27 in Birmingham's Downtown Theatre District.
encore SERIES
Sidewalk's Silver Screen Encore Series continues February 9th with a screening of WE LIVE IN PUBLIC at the Virginia -Samford Theatre. Tickets are only $8 and the film begins at 7pm. For complete information, click here. Mark your calendars for future dates: March 9th and April 13.
interns NEEDED
Sidewalk is looking for a couple of eager, sharp interns. We'll need individuals who are looking to take on specific tasks and also help out with the every day functions of the office. Interns will be helping with all of our projects, including Scrambles and the festival itself. We need individuals who are professional, organized, respectful, tidy, a team player, self-motivated, can take direction and act quickly, and is an out-of-the-box thinker. Internships can be for school credit or for those seeking experience in the film festival and/or nonprofit world. Specific skills that we could use are graphic design, website maintenance, public relations, and database navigation.
